New Jersey. Born and raised. Los Angeles. Current residency. 5 years now. People to this day are still amazed at how I just upped and moved to the West Coast. The easiest answer? Resourcefulness.

People don’t take full advantage of the people they know and the network they have regardless of the size. When planning my move out here I used my friends, my friends friends, literally ANY one in my network WEB that I could reach out to whether it was for advice, a place to live, someone to drive my car before I got here, or a job. It was thanks to this ingenuity on my part that allowed me to successfully and pretty easily make the transition out here.

USE YOUR NETWORK! WORK SMART and DON’T BE LAZY.

Where I’m At:

The A-Ha Moment Podcast is doing great! Second week in, new guest, new experiences. Also just finished recording guest number six! The goal is to make sure I’m interviewing something hopefully once a week and stay ahead of schedule. What’s interesting is now in the next couple weeks I really wanna test out and see what is working and not working marketing wise. This week didn’t get as many initial downloads as the first episode (obviously in part due to the launch).

My biggest things I need to focus on are making sure the guest I’m airing that week does their part in promoting the page. This is why having guests with decent followings is going to be a HUGE factor. Speaking of resourcefulness now after my 6th guest I may stop interviewing for a week or two to let the episodes air out and have what I would call a portfolio so that now when I reach out to people with bigger followings who aren’t in my direct network, at least they can see what kind of work I do and that it has SOME sort of following.

I anticipate that to be trickier than usual but it’s going to be a super important step for me I have a feeling. I’ll admit even though this is the level I tend to get a little cold feet reaching out to people. I’ve just never been good at talking to people I feel are of a “higher status” than me especially if it involves vulnerability and attaching an idea of mine with it. So we shall see how that goes.

  • Are you wasting¬†more time on creating a FB Page for your great idea rather than actually making the quality great?
  • Are you properly utilizing your network to its UTMOST capacity?
  • Who is one person you can reach out to RIGHT now even if its just to ask a question about your endeavor?
  • CALL THAT PERSON OR MESSAGE THEM RIGHT NOW AND GET TO WORK
